Centrally located in one of the city's most desirable hot spot's, this really is the perfect place to explore all Charlotte has to offer!Getting around
Wandering through this neighborhood, you may feel like you've gone back in time, with the tree-lined streets, century-old homes, and courtyard gardens. If you're looking for family fun, be sure to check out Discovery Place, a science museum with plenty of hands-on and interactive fun that's right around the corner. With all there is to do in Fourth Ward, there is definitely no shortage of great food. Capital Grille, one of Charlotte's most renowned steakhouses, is a MUST TRY here in the Queen City. For a more formal setting, at McNinch House Restaurant, you can feast on seven courses in a Victorian setting, but don't forget to make a reservation! Finally, don't skip Alexander Michaels, or “Al Mike’s” as the locals call it. It's a small, casual family-owned restaurant and tavern that sits in the building that once housed the Crowell Berryhill Store, a grocery store that first opened up in the late 1800s.
If you don't have a car, no problem! Charlotte offers the Lynx light rail, public bus system, and of course it's a short and affordable Uber or Lyft ride to everything (and it's likely your driver will be there within minutes)!
There are 6 shared, private temporary parking spots available for up to 24 hour parking (first come - first served) which may conditionally be accessed with the provided parking pass. There is street parking available outside the unit. You will need to buy daily parking passes from the Park It Charlotte office for $3 a day. There is also a Preferred Parking beside the Harris Teeter on the next block. You will find a car is seldom necessary when you live in the very center of town!
